CARTERSVILLE, Ga. — Surya has announced the launch of an accessories-focused education program for designers, including the roll out of a series of Continuing Education Unit (CEU) courses over the next year. Surya’s first CEU course, titled “The Guide to Area Rugs,” will make its debut at High Point Market on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 2-3 p.m. at the Surya showroom, Showplace 4100. The course will enhance participants' fundamental knowledge of area rugs to provide the best possible design solution for clients. Participants will delve into the history of area rugs across the globe, rug materials and fabrication, best application practices for today, and area rugs’ impact on design.
Accredited by the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC), the session will count for .1 CEU credits. Following High Point Market, the course will be presented throughout the U.S. to interior designers and industry professionals.
“As part of our long-standing reputation for thought leadership, we constantly share market, trend and product insights to support our customers and their businesses,” said Satya Tiwari, president of Surya. “With our new accessories-focused educational curriculum, designers can arm themselves with information to better advise their clients in the specification phase and establish greater professional trust, while earning required annual education credits.
